Information we collect

Account information

When you create or use a Miniflix account, we may collect information such as your username, full name, email address, account identifier, encrypted authentication information, account type, and information needed to administer your account.

Device and application information

Miniflix television applications use a device identifier to link a television or streaming device to your Miniflix account. For example, the Miniflix Fire TV application uses an identifier derived from the Android device identifier. We may also receive device type, operating-system information, app version, IP address, request timestamps, network information, and basic diagnostic information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Profiles

We collect the profile display name, selected avatar, profile identifier, and related settings you choose for each Miniflix profile.

Viewing and interaction information

We collect information about how you use Miniflix, including titles and episodes viewed, playback position, Continue Watching activity, My List selections, likes, dislikes, search and browsing interactions, and interactions with films, series, trailers, advertisements, and live programming.

Website, submission, and support information

When you link a television, contact support, submit content, manage an account, request deletion, or otherwise interact with Miniflix through a browser, we collect the information you provide and technical information associated with those requests.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Create, link, authenticate, and administer Miniflix accounts and devices
• Display and manage profiles
• Deliver films, series, live programming, trailers, subtitles, and other features
• Save playback progress and provide Continue Watching
• Maintain My List, likes, dislikes, and viewing preferences
• Personalize browsing, match scores, and recommendations
• Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests
• Maintain the security, availability, and reliability of Miniflix
• Detect misuse, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations
• Understand aggregate usage and improve the service

How we disclose information

Miniflix does not sell personal information.

We may disclose information:

• To service providers that process information on our behalf, such as hosting, infrastructure, email, payment, security, content-delivery, or support providers
• When you direct us or provide consent
• To comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests
• To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Miniflix, our users, or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law

Service providers are permitted to process information only to perform services for Miniflix and must protect it as required by their agreements and applicable law.

Advertising and analytics

Miniflix may present advertisements, service promotions, or sponsored content supplied through Miniflix-operated systems. As of the effective date above, the Miniflix Fire TV application does not contain a third-party advertising SDK or third-party analytics SDK. If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable platform privacy disclosures.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Miniflix, maintain account and playback features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect the service. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it is processed.

When a verified account-deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify information associated with the account unless limited retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Supported Miniflix applications use encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with Miniflix services. No security measure or method of transmission can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may edit or delete individual Miniflix profiles through supported app features. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, portability of, restriction of, or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

To stop information collection through a television application, you may uninstall the application. Uninstalling an app does not automatically delete information already associated with your Miniflix account.

Children’s privacy

Miniflix does not accept account registrations from people under 18 and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Miniflix, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

International users

Miniflix is operated from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where Miniflix or its service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. When appropriate, material changes may also be communicated through the service or by other means.
